Dot-Con Report:
Thanks to everyone who purchased the Naruto keychains, we are proud to announce that we have made a total of $120 profit, all of which we donated to Free the Children! Yes, we did not sell as many keychains as we expected, and yes, Dot-Con 2008 was quite a small convention that debuted last year, but nonetheless, we are inspired by all the people who invested in our merchandise for the better of children in developing countries. Seeing the fresh sight of people who wholeheartedly contributed and sometimes made donations without buying merchandise made us believe in the good of humankind that seems lost in our materialistic world. With this being said, I am proud to announce that at Anime North 2009, I will be donating 50% of my profit (profit from the sale of my merchandise) to Free the Children.
Anime North 2009:
After a small hitch in our Comic Market table registration plans, Rachel and I finally received our preregistration confirmations and will be submitting our table applications on Friday. We are proud (and slightly reluctant) to say that we have a very comprehensive merchandise list set up for our first year as (prospective) artists at Anime North. Although we do not want to reveal all of our merchandise, you can expect to see some:
Code Geass
Naruto
Katekyo Hitman Reborn
Bleach
Macross Frontier
Axis Powers Hetalia
Kuroshitsuji
and many, many more.
As I have said, I will be donating 50% of my profit to Free the Children, so keep your eyes peeled for our table if you want to satisfy your hunger for fan-made anime merchandise and your desire to improve the lives of children in developing countries. I have no doubts that many of you are philanthropists and humanitarians and otakus at the same time

Why Fifty-9?
The name, Fifty-9 originates from my favorite character in Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, Gokudera Hayato. I felt like he and I have a lot in common (not in terms of looks, but personality wise) and the name itself is easy to memorize.
Why a new account?
Recently, I have taken up an initiative to create anime and game fandom merchandise (keychains, bookmarks, buttons)based on the animes I've enjoyed since childhood, which includes Naruto, Kingdom Hearts, Bleach, Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, Code Geass, Gintama, and more.
My goal in creating this account is to firstly, create a business account where only the merchandise that I am selling will be displayed for business transactions. Secondly, this page is also used to bring awareness to people regarding the profits that my merchandise is going towards. My main dA account is
A Not-for-profit business
In response to the Me to We Initiative : [link] and Free the Children, a not-for-profit organization founded by the brother Marc and Craig Kielburger:
Free The Children is the world's largest network of children helping children through education, with more than one million youth involved in our innovative education and development programs in 45 countries. Founded in 1995 by international child rights activist Craig Kielburger, Free The Children has a proven track record of success. The organization has received the World's Children's Prize for the Rights of the Child (also known as the Children's Nobel Prize), the Human Rights Award from the World Association of Non-Governmental Organizations, and has formed successful partnerships with leading school boards and Oprah's Angel Network.
The primary goals of the organization are to free children from poverty and exploitation and free young people from the notion that they are powerless to affect positive change in the world. Through domestic empowerment programs and leadership training, Free The Children inspires young people to develop as socially conscious global citizens and become agents of change for their peers around the world.
Free The Children has built more than 500 schools around the world and has reached more than one million young people through outreach in North America.
Free The Children is a children's charity registered in Canada, the United States, Japan, China, Mexico, Kenya, Sri Lanka and other countries around the world.
I have decided to support this cause not only because I want to help those in need, but also because I am doing what I love (drawing anime and computer arts) and helping the less fortunate at the same time.
